Dr Jack Welch

Dr Jack is a British vet who graduated from the University of Edinburgh. His interest in treating exotic animals has brought him to our clinic, where he is able to treat all things furry and scaly. He has a special interest in aneasthesia but enjoys all aspects of veterinary science.

In his spare time he loves to explore the natural side of Singapore. When he's not getting lost round MacRitchie Reservoir, he can be found playing badminton.

Dr Jamie is an Irish graduate from University College Dublin. His lifelong interest in exotic animals both big and small has brought him to Singapore for a chance to work with all manner of pets and wildlife found here. He has a strong interest in conservation and wildlife medicine.

In his free time, Dr Jamie enjoys seeing what the beautiful island of Singapore has to offer - so far, he has yet to be disappointed!

Dr Frederic Chua’s approach to veterinary treatments reflect his firm belief that pets are an integral part of the family. He values engaging with family members on how pets behave or are treated at home when evaluating their illnesses. Having been a vet since 1987, he has accumulated a spectrum of vet related experiences in the military and government sectors, heading the Aquatic Animal Health Section of AVA, before becoming the Curator of Underwater World Singapore.

As he was born into a family which bred pedigree dogs (and with cats in tow), clients will not only benefit from his wide knowledge in a variety of exotic pets, fish and marine mammals, but also from his first love of dogs. In his career, Fred has discovered 2 novel fish viruses, was awarded the prestigious Highland and Agricultural Society Silver medal from the UK and served as a member of the Expert Consultation Panel on Aquatic Health under the FAO.
